General Gerry H. De Silva RWP, VSV, USP is a Sri Lankan general. He was the 13th Commander of the Sri Lankan Army and Sri Lankan High Commissioner to Pakistan.〔(【引用サイトリンク】url=http://ceylondatabase.net/military.html )
Attached to the Gemunu Watch, Major De Silva was deployed in counter insurgency operations during the 1971 Insurrection and thereafter served with the Task Force Anti Illicit Immigration (TaFAII). In 1981 as a Lieutenant Colonel he was the commanding officer of the 1st Gemunu Watch and Officer Commanding Troops Jaffna, before taking over as head of the Combat Training School. As a Brigadier he was the Commanded 2 Brigade Group and Overall Operations Commander. G.H. de Silva Commanded 2 Brigade Group, tasked on Deception planning and Holding Operations, whilst being the Overall Operations Commander for the Vadamarachchi Operation in 1987.〔(The 1st. He was appointed Commander of the Army in 1 January 1994 and served until 30 April 1996. He was succeeded by Rohan Daluwatte.
